Camping at the Venue

There will be primitive camping available Friday and Saturday nights at the race venue for both tents and RVs. The cost is $10 per vehicle for the weekend. There is also a $5 per vehicle land use fee, also good for the whole weekend. There are no hookups for water or electric, but there are bathrooms and showers available in the police academy building.

This is nothing new to anyone in Texas, but there are NO FIRES allowed. This includes grills. You can cook inside a camper, but nothing outside. If you build a fire or fire up a grill, you will be asked to leave. There have been a few grass fires in the area this summer, and we’re not taking any chances. We realize that this does cut down on what can be fixed to eat. However, there will be food available at the venue. The firefighter’s auxiliary will be selling food on Saturday and Sunday. There are also several restaurants a mile and a half down the road.

Gates will be open on Friday afternoon. We can’t wait to see you there!

Does this include camp stoves? Just making sure we plan our meals accordingly.

As long as you are using propane and not an open flame, it is fine.
